About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Sustainment Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Life Cycle Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and maintainable operation of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and product sustainment activities for PATRIOT ground and missile systems.
  • Act as a liaison with various engineering disciplines, including Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Materials and Processes, and Structural design functions.
  • Analyze material consumption and obsolescence to inform long-term product support, including spares recommendations, maintenance procedure updates, parts and materials substitutions, and repair capabilities.
  • Review depot procedures and cost estimations to complete repairs within contractual limits.
  • Provide inputs and create briefings for peer reviews, program reviews, and working groups.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 5 years of relevant engineering, sustainment, and/or field support experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings/schematics.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Systems of Systems mindset.
  • An understanding of the use of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, interface control documents, and electrical schematics).
  • Familiarity with factory operations, procedures, and depot flow activities.
  • Broad knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes, including sustainment and supportability principles and concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with team members.
  • Experience working with US Military programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
