Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. This strategic role is designed for an experienced professional who can engage directly with clients while also executing technical work (Seller/Doer). The position offers flexibility with remote and hybrid work options for candidates with established client relationships and business development expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and execution of diverse consulting projects.
  • Meet client expectations by delivering tasks on time and within budget.
  • Conduct thorough building and fire code reviews, including plan assessments and site evaluations.
  • Prepare and review technical reports related to projects.
  • Develop innovative fire protection strategies and performance-based design solutions to address client challenges.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (preferably in Fire Protection), Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in Building Code and Fire Protection Consulting.
  • Professional Engineer registration or equivalent designation in Fire Protection is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a 'Doer Seller' mentality with established client connections and the ability to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in developing building code concepts, conducting building plan reviews, and performing field inspections.
  • Ability to articulate clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively, embracing professional challenges and contributing to the long-term success of Jensen Hughes.
