The Senior Marine Engineering Officer plays a pivotal role within the operations team, focusing on the management and oversight of marine engineering activities. This position is integral to ensuring the seamless operation of marine systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Marine Engineering Officer, your responsibilities will include:

1. **Management of Engine Room Operations:**
- Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the Engine Room, including all marine diesel engines, boilers, and auxiliary machinery.
- Ensuring the efficient functioning of the cargo and ballast systems, hull integrity, and accommodations.

2. **Safety and Compliance:**
- Upholding safety standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of essential marine machinery as per established protocols.

3. **Team Leadership:**
- Supervising engineering staff to promote operational excellence and adherence to the Operations Management System (OMS).
- Providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.

4. **Maintenance and Repairs:**
- Planning and executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for marine machinery.
- Managing parts control and inventory using relevant management systems.

5. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and ensuring proper documentation of compliance with safety regulations.
- Preparing detailed reports on machinery performance and maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

- A valid certification allowing for full-time work in the relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 24 months of sea time in a similar role.
- Significant experience in marine operations, particularly with FPSO systems.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
