Metabolic Disease Specialist

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the Division of Human Genetics, Section of Metabolism. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting research, and teaching in the diagnosis and management of patients with lysosomal storage disorders (LSD) and inborn errors of metabolism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and follow-up to patients with metabolic disorders, working collaboratively with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating the latest research and treatment options.
- Participate in clinical trials, research studies, and patient registries, contributing to the advancement of our understanding of metabolic diseases.
- Serve as a consultant and educational resource to patients, families, students, and healthcare team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in metabolic disease management, attending national meetings and participating in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
