Senior Building Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Engineer to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing complex maintenance, repairs, and installations of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and monitor building equipment, including mechanical/HVAC-R/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
- Prepare estimates detailing the amount of time and materials needed for completing tasks.
- Maintain adequate supplies and tools and order vital materials to finish tasks.
- Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.
- Perform work in compliance with standard operating procedures and/or critical work packages, and maintenance work instructions.
- Perform niche and sophisticated tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly/relocation, and locksmith tasks.
- Perform inspection of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical.
- Use PC and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.
- Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
- Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and trade school or training.
- Minimum of eight (8) years experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC/R (refrigeration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Stationary Engineering experience that focuses heavily on HVAC/R, Electrical, Boiler & Chiller Operation and Maintenance.
- EPA Universal 608 certification preferred.
- Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
- Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
