Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Psychiatry department
    • Supervise and mentor psychiatric staff, including nurse practitioners and consultants
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Patient Care
    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide treatment recommendations
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Administrative and Operational
    • Manage departmental budgets and resources
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination
  • Education and Training
    • Develop and implement educational programs for staff and patients
    • Provide training and support to staff on best practices and new technologies
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements
  • Education
    • Medical degree from an accredited medical school
    • Completion of residency training in psychiatry
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of post-training clinical experience
    • Experience in leadership and management roles preferred
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Current New York City license to practice medicine and psychiatry
