Medical Director Addiction Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Addiction Psychiatry team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our addiction treatment programs, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of excellence within our department.
About the Role- Lead the development and implementation of addiction treatment programs, including medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and other evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with addiction disorders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote access to care and improve health outcomes.
- Provide medical direction and oversight to clinical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and counselors.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in addiction medicine and psychiatry, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry.
- Completion of a fellowship program in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry.
- Active New York State Medical License.
- Active federal DEA buprenorphine waiver.
- Qualifications for Clinical Instructor or higher level faculty appointment.
Mount Sinai Health System offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 to $300,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
