- Demonstrates adaptability and prioritizes tasks efficiently.
- Exhibits reliable attendance and punctuality, ready to commence duties at the start of each shift.
- Completes assigned responsibilities and assists colleagues in meeting deadlines.
- Supports unit staffing requirements by being flexible with work schedules.
- Creates a safe and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

2. Core Duties:
- Provides comprehensive patient care by monitoring, collecting, and reporting vital information.
- Engages patients by considering their individual needs, values, and preferences.
- Ensures continuity of care by effectively communicating changes in patient status to the next caregiver.
- Adheres to infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment.
- Identifies safety risks and communicates concerns to supervising nurses.
- Contributes to departmental performance improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrates proficiency in essential nursing skills.

3. Essential Skills:
- CPR Certification
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Aseptic wound care and dressing changes
- Phlebotomy and Foley catheter insertion/care

Minimum Qualifications:
The Nursing Technician II is a student actively enrolled in an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, having completed the third semester and currently in the fourth or fifth semester of the nursing curriculum.

Communication Skills:
Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing, with the ability to provide clear instructions and education to patients and families.

Physical Requirements:
During a typical shift, the Nursing Technician will:
- Engage in various physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
- Handle materials and equipment safely, adhering to established protocols for lifting and carrying.
- Maintain stamina and focus while performing duties in a dynamic healthcare environment.
