Position Overview


The Financial Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in various aspects of financial reporting and collaborates closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and Controller to establish new processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Initiate and record journal entries, including monthly accruals, and prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts while addressing and resolving issues as necessary.
2. Reconcile bank accounts, monitor outstanding checks, and assist in cash flow analysis.
3. Maintain the fixed asset register and document monthly depreciation expenses.
4. Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures aimed at enhancing month-end closing and financial reporting, while improving coordination between property accounting and corporate accounting.
5. Support departmental initiatives to boost efficiency and optimize the use of available tools.
6. Maintain the master billing schedule for properties and coordinate the invoicing of monthly fees and other reimbursable expenses.
7. Prepare audit-related requests and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
