The Staff Accountant plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation for a global company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile monthly bank accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with payroll to process wire releases and post journal entries
  • Reconcile the general ledger and trial balance accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain fixed asset coding and depreciation reports to ensure compliance
  • Reconcile sales figures in the customer relationship management system
  • Assist in the annual audit process to ensure compliance
  • Prepare rebate reports for major customers
  • Perform other general accounting duties as needed to support the company's financial operations

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve financial goals

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Software Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
