We are seeking an experienced Assistant RNG Facility Operator to join our team at Suburban Propane. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of our Renewable Natural Gas facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Facility Operator in monitoring and overseeing plant operations
  • Help with the startup, shutdown, and operation of facility equipment
  • Identify problems in plant processes and work with the Facility Operator to resolve them
  • Ensure that safety and environmental rules are strictly followed by all employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Conceptualize and recommend plant process and equipment improvement strategies to the Facility Operator
  • Carry out site inspections and audits in conjunction with the Facility Operator
  • Work with the Facility Operator on performing preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Assist in the development of and carry out preventative maintenance plans for all equipment
  • Work closely with the Facility Operator to maintain open lines of communication regarding the facilities operations
  • Assist in the observation of gauges, dials, switches, alarms, and the SCADA system to ensure the process is functioning as intended
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
  • Understand thermophilic and mesophilic digester health

Requirements
  • Four-year Operations Degree or equivalent in experience & education
  • Familiar with RNG facility operation concepts, practices, and procedures attained through a minimum of 5-7 years of related technical and/or operational experience
  • Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage including MS Office
