Receptionist Job Description

At Bartholomew House, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Answer and transfer calls in a courteous and professional manner, taking messages, giving information, and providing assistance to residents, staff, and guests.
  • Front Desk Operations: Monitor the entry and departure of guests, residents, and vendors, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Communication: Communicate phone messages clearly and deliver materials to appropriate parties promptly.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with office functions, such as word processing, mail distribution, and supply management.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate the use of common areas for events and meetings.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including appointment notebooks and supply inventory.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
