As a key member of our engineering team, the Plastics Process Engineer will focus on the design and optimization of plastic molding processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate engineering initiatives to achieve optimal project outcomes that align with customer and manufacturing specifications.
- Serve as the primary liaison among customers, sales teams, engineering departments, external vendors, and production units.
- Develop and oversee project timelines, including cost assessments and alternative project solutions.
- Support maintenance and refurbishment activities for tooling.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes and tooling requirements.
- Familiarity with insert molding and two-shot molding is advantageous, though not mandatory.
- Prior experience in project or program management within a contract manufacturing environment for plastic components.
- Technical expertise in tolerances related to plastic molding operations and experience in mold design for customized product requests.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation package that can reach up to $160,000, which includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance, along with company-sponsored life insurance. Additional benefits include generous paid time off for vacations, holidays, personal days, and sick leave, as well as tuition reimbursement for ongoing education and professional development opportunities. Relocation assistance is also available.
