Overview

The Process Improvement Manager is responsible for refining operational processes and frameworks to enhance overall effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, leadership, and team members to pinpoint and address critical manufacturing operations that need enhancement. The successful candidate will implement process enhancement strategies and prioritize ongoing improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will mentor and guide a team of continuous improvement advocates to align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs Lean manufacturing projects, including leading focused group sessions and Kaizen events to achieve measurable productivity enhancements.
  • Recognizes and disseminates best practices across various departments.
  • Cultivates a Lean-thinking culture and sustains operational excellence efforts.
  • Oversees problem-solving initiatives for production, employing root cause analysis techniques.
  • Plans and executes improvement strategies related to processes, work methodologies, digital transformation, and technological infrastructure.
  • Facilitates cross-departmental teams to propel continuous improvement initiatives and manage transitions effectively.
  • Boosts employee engagement by embedding Lean principles and providing pertinent training on Lean practices.
  • Encourages profitable growth through the development and application of Lean methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be a US Citizen or possess a Green Card (Permanent Resident) to qualify.
  • Proficient in leading sessions utilizing concepts such as LEAN, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting, including active listening, facilitating discussions, challenging ideas, communicating clearly, and motivating diverse teams across all organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in a relevant field, adaptable to change, and quick to acquire new knowledge.
  • Strong commitment to operational excellence and achieving business outcomes, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.

Travel Expectations:

  • Occasional travel to company locations, not exceeding 20%.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment and utilize standard office equipment, including computers.
  • Capability to read computer screens and printed materials.
