Medical Support Specialist

Overview:

Job Summary:
As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical providers with patient examinations, preparing patients for exams, and performing various clinical tasks. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will make you a valuable asset to our team.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for exams by obtaining and documenting vital signs, chief complaints, and preparing patients for provider exams.
• Perform phlebotomy, obtain specimens for processing, administer vaccines, and complete required documentation.
• Screen and direct patient calls according to established protocol, contact patients regarding prescriptions and testing results as directed by the physician.
• Perform daily regulatory testing, document accordingly, and maintain par levels of clinical supplies.
• Assist with front desk duties, including registering patients, billing, and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1-3 years of similar job experience in a medical office is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program are required.
