INVENTORY MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records within the Sage system. Duties include managing sales orders, creating manufacturing orders, processing inventory adjustments, generating item numbers, and assisting with updates to Bills of Materials (BOM) and cost calculations. Participate in initiatives aimed at maintaining clean and accurate records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing work orders from sales and converting them into Manufacturing Orders (M/O) in Sage.
  • Analyzing the Production Status Report weekly and preparing M/O's for Master and Component items in Sage.
  • Printing and distributing M/O's and additional documentation to support manufacturing operations.
  • Utilizing MS Excel to manage data export and import processes for creating M/O's.
  • Collaborating with purchasing, production, and project management teams to ensure the accuracy of M/O's.
  • Investigating discrepancies and adjusting inventory records as needed.
  • Managing damaged and defective products, ensuring proper inventory adjustments and disposal.
  • Working closely with the Production Manager and Supervisors to maintain stock levels.
  • Updating Bills of Materials (BOM) for design changes and corrections.
  • Creating new BOMs as directed by management.
  • Processing Kanban Manufacturing Orders.
  • Conducting weekly cycle counts and recommending adjustments for approval.
  • Researching inventory discrepancies and implementing necessary corrections.
  • Assisting in the preparation for Annual Physical Inventory counts.
  • Participating in testing for process improvements and system integrations.
  • Taking initiative and performing additional related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a production, warehouse, or inventory management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with inventory management in an ERP system; familiarity with Sage 300/Accpac is advantageous.
  • Ability to critically assess manufacturing orders and resolve issues tactfully.
  • Experience in inventory control for raw materials and work-in-progress (WIP).
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong follow-up capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
