Job Summary

The Arkansas State Police is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver License Examiner Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Driver License Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Driver License Examiners, ensuring the efficient and effective administration of driver's license tests, and providing exceptional customer service to the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Driver License Examiners, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Administer and score driver's license tests, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide information and assistance to the public on obtaining driver's licenses, directing them to appropriate testing locations and times.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of test results, ensuring data integrity and compliance with agency policies.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on applicant vehicles, verifying identification and documentation as required.
  • Conduct background checks using the Arkansas Crime Information Center or National Crime Information Center, as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, plus three to five years of experience working with the general public in a related field.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of state and federal driver's license laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
