About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Account Registrar to join our team at Knapp Medical Center. As a Patient Account Registrar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our admissions process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information
  • Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as applicable
  • Work closely with the Admitting department, including PBX operator function and reception areas
  • Operate a computer to input and retrieve data
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, utilizing age-specific techniques
  • Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
Requirements
  • Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize needs to meet required timelines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service experience required
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required
