About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Account Registrar to join our team at the Dallas Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Admitting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth registration process for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information and secure insurance details
  • Work closely with the Admitting department, including PBX operators and reception areas, to ensure seamless communication and data exchange
  • Operate a computer to input and retrieve data, maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, utilizing age-specific techniques to ensure understanding and satisfaction
  • Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as required, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
Requirements
  • Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer service focus
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required
