Job Description

The Patient Service Representative assumes a pivotal role in our practice, relating directly and indirectly to patient satisfaction and to the ultimate success of the clinic. This individual will serve as both the first and last point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.

  • Answering incoming calls and scheduling patient appointments
  • Taking messages and routing to appropriate physicians
  • Ensuring patient messages are addressed by the end of each day
  • Paging calls to physicians when necessary
  • Preparing patient charts for upcoming appointments
  • Confirming appointments with patients a week in advance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of medical practice and care, insurance plan payers, and physician business procedures
  • Electronic Health Record (EMR) experience and proficiency in operating a computer and other office equipment

This role requires a strong work ethic, dedication to getting the job done well and on time, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, and demonstrate a positive attitude.

Salary Range:

The estimated salary for this position is $18-$20 hourly, based on location and size/complexity of the program being supported.
