About the Role

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Newark, DE. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, allergies, and medications.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • BLS certification.
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of a surgical technologist program with clinical hours.
