About the Role

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Elk Mills, Maryland.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our Procedure Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patient care teams in transferring patients to and from beds/stretchers
  • Position patients on Procedure Area tables or hold extremities for skin prep
  • Transport patients to and from Procedure Area or departments
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and initiate service calls as needed
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide age-appropriate care to patients
  • Respond to crisis situations and perform essential tasks under the direction of the RN
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills
  • BLS certification
  • Able to work flexible hours for training and support of the unit
