The Sales Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving commercial activities for assigned automotive accounts within the Engineered Plastics business entity. This residence-based role is located in East Michigan or Northern Ohio, covering the US North East region, including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and manage pricing on a quarterly basis or per commercial agreement to maximize margin and grow profitability.
- Identify and map key decision-makers in the customer's value chain and build, maintain, and develop relationships with them.
- Listen to and understand the account's current and future needs, as well as its position in the value chain and industry.
- Develop and communicate account plans with internal supportive functions to achieve account targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate activities with support functions, including Market Development, Application Development, Product Technology, and Customer Service.
- Monitor and manage the customers' project pipeline and document it in the CRM System.
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience or MBA/Master's Degree with 4 years of experience.
- 4 years' experience in sales of Plastic Injection molding products to Tier 1 of the Automotive industry.
- Strong sales capabilities and interpersonal skills, with well-developed technical and sales skills to maintain credibility and respect at large, multi-national companies.
- Ability to clearly express thoughts and ideas, both orally and written, for conducting effective discussions with accounts and personnel.
- Excellent listening skills to fully address customer viewpoints and needs.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and direct a broad spectrum of people without direct authority over them.
- Ability/willingness to travel up to 50% - 75% for customer/office visits.
