Job Title: Sr. Patient Account Rep-Main Infusion Center-WFH

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Patient Account Representative to join our team at OU Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, resolving billing and collection issues, and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments and manage patient registration processes.
  • Charge Entry: Accurately enter patient charges and verify data for processing.
  • Billing: Process patient billing statements, interact with insurance carriers, and resolve billing and collection issues.
  • Collection: Identify and pursue delinquent accounts, communicate with patients and insurance carriers, and resolve payment disputes.
  • Coding: Assign accurate CPT and ICD-9 codes for billing purposes.
  • Follow-up: Initiate contact with patients and insurance carriers to resolve billing and collection issues.
  • Payment Posting: Post patient payments and denials, and reconcile daily receivables reports.
  • Reporting: Assist in reviewing and balancing IDX transaction reports, and prepare billing statements from statistical data.
  • Credit Balance Resolution: Review daily credit balance reports, prepare refund check requests, and post refunds to patient accounts.
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 1.5 years of experience in medical billing, medical collections, or medical billing systems required.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations: None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
