Position Overview

The Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting various organizational levels through the meticulous preparation and evaluation of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses at both project and operational unit levels, including budget estimates, rate impact assessments, and revenue evaluations.
  • Utilize and apply the organization's cost methodologies effectively.
  • Oversee and track program budgets in accordance with established guidelines and contractual obligations, providing insights on any discrepancies.
  • Examine contractual authorizations and modifications as necessary, updating the project-costing accounting system.
  • Review purchase requisitions, vendor invoices, and bills for compliance with organizational standards.
  • Generate internal financial management performance reports and external financial deliverables as required.
  • Verify and refine existing reports from various financial systems and tools.
  • Prepare and assess government and commercial cost proposals for ongoing programs, adhering to established cost and pricing methodologies.
  • Calculate accruals and assist with monthly cost allocation support during accounting month-end processes.
  • Document and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and desk guides.

Additional Duties

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with contracting personnel and management to provide costing analysis and guidance.
  • Conduct reviews of subcontractor indirect rates.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned, such as cash flow analysis and financial planning.
  • Collect, verify, and compile data for the annual financial plan and rate projections.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with one or more years of related experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively in teams as well as independently to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively for both internal and external customers.
  • Capability to interpret contracts accurately.
  • Experience with Deltek and CostPoint is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
