The Financial Operations Manager will operate under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role is integral to the accounting division of the organization and is responsible for establishing fiscal controls by designing and executing systems for the collection, analysis, verification, and reporting of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, encompassing Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition for the various entities within the organization.
  • Support the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reports, reconciliations, trial balances, and providing explanations for variances to the CFO.
  • Compile internal financial statements by collecting and analyzing data from the general ledger and other departments, assisting with the monthly consolidated financials for the parent organization.
  • Manage the completion of requirements for financial audits, lender credit facilities, inventory appraisals, and external accounting firms.
  • Oversee the preparation of weekly forecasts regarding the organization’s cash flow and line of credit availability related to receivables and inventory.
  • Ensure the completion of requirements for corporate tax submissions.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Human Resources Manager/Director to guarantee the timely generation, review, and approval of weekly payroll for employees.
  • Coordinate the organization’s benefits programs and human resources needs with the Corporate Human Resources Manager/Director.
  • Assist the CFO and Corporate Financial Analyst in achieving accounting financial goals by forecasting needs, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
  • Maintain accounting integrity by establishing a chart of accounts, defining accounting policies and procedures, and implementing internal controls.
  • Engage in project work as directed by the CFO, COO, and CEO, along with other ad hoc responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation with a minimum of four years of experience in public accounting preferred.
  • Experience managing diverse company sectors, including wholesale/distribution, retail, manufacturing, and construction.
  • Familiarity with international business operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance obligations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly in computerized accounting systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics - GP, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
