Position Overview

The Financial Analyst role is crucial in supporting various organizational levels through the preparation and examination of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial evaluations at both project and operational levels, including budget estimations and revenue analyses.
  • Utilize and apply the organization's cost methodologies effectively.
  • Oversee and manage program budgets in accordance with established guidelines and contractual obligations, providing insights on any discrepancies.
  • Review and update project-costing systems as necessary, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Assess purchase requests and vendor invoices for compliance with organizational standards.
  • Generate internal financial performance reports and external financial deliverables as required.
  • Verify and refine existing reports from financial systems and prepare for future reporting tools.
  • Prepare and assess cost proposals for ongoing programs, adhering to established pricing methodologies.
  • Calculate accruals and assist with monthly cost allocation in support of accounting processes.
  • Document and maintain departmental policies and procedures.

Additional Duties

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with contracting personnel to provide costing analysis and guidance.
  • Conduct reviews of subcontractor indirect rates.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned, such as financial planning and analysis.
  • Compile and verify data for annual financial planning and rate projections.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with one or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Capable of serving both internal and external stakeholders while prioritizing tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to interpret contracts effectively.
  • Experience with Deltek and CostPoint is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
