Job Summary

The Department of Water Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydroelectric Power Utility Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Project Management Office, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating hydroelectric power projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of project initiation and management documents, and collaborating with other O&M staff, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate hydroelectric power projects, including project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
  • Collaborate with other O&M staff, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate completion of project initiation and management documents.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including project status updates, progress reports, and final project reports.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hydroelectric power project management, including project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
  • Strong knowledge of hydroelectric power systems, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, including the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, team members, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
