Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Water business. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and leading the development of HVAC systems for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, hydroelectric power stations, storm mitigation facilities, and semi-conductor manufacturing facilities across North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of HVAC systems from preliminary design to issue for construction (IFC).
  • Develop design documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Perform engineering calculations and communicate with team members, clients, and equipment vendors.
  • Research and interpret applicable codes based on project needs.
  • Coordinate design with other design disciplines and provide design support to junior staff.
  • Provide engineering services during construction and occasional travel to job sites (less than 5%).
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills and a strong understanding of all phases of project life cycle.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Knowledge of HVAC load calculation software, such as HAP or Trace 3D.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
