We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse 2 to join our Thoracic and Surgical Specialty unit at the University of Rochester Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for new graduates or experienced nurses with a special interest in surgical patients, who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Our 25-bed unit provides care for a variety of surgical patients, including Thoracic & Foregut Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Plastic surgery, and Burn Surgery. We also specialize in the management and care of pulmonary hypertension patients through the Pulmonary Care Center at URMC, one of only four centers in NYS.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse 2 on our unit, you will work closely with RN staff to provide patient care within the scope of a NYS LPN license. You will have the opportunity to develop a diversified skill set working with a variety of medical equipment, tubes, lines, and drains.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program
  • Active New York State LPN license in good standing

Pay Range: $34.80 Hourly

Location: Medical Surgical Nursing

Full/Part Time: FT position (36 hrs), D/N/E, holidays and weekends per unit policy
