Thoracic Pathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry is seeking a fellowship-trained Thoracic Pathologist to join our team. As a Thoracic Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and investigating diseases of the thoracic organs, including the lungs, heart, and esophagus.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly subspecialized environment with a team of over 35 anatomic pathologists. You will have the chance to participate in a wide range of services, including surgical and biopsy cases, and contribute to the development of clinical initiatives and research projects.

• Diagnose and investigate diseases of the thoracic organs
• Participate in a fully subspecialized sign-out model
• Contribute to the development of clinical initiatives and research projects
• Participate in a program in applied, translational, or basic research
• Teach and mentor pathology residents and medical students

To be eligible for this position, you must have completed a Thoracic Pathology Fellowship Program and be board certified/eligible for a medical license in the State of New York. You must also have a strong commitment to principles of diversity and be able to work in a highly collaborative environment.
