Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Thoracic and Surgical Specialty team at the University of Rochester Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of surgical patients, including thoracic, foregut, and plastics, as well as care for burn patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse range of surgical patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including pulmonary hypertension
  • Develop and maintain a diversified skill set working with various medical equipment and technologies
  • Participate in unit/service activities and support co-workers to maintain a positive working environment
Qualifications

Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing.

Level of Experience
  • Level I: Less than 6-12 months of RN experience
  • Level II: Minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience, with charge nurse responsibilities and participation in unit/service activities
