Poultry Production Supervisor

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Poultry Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of a layer operation.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to contribute to the success of our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of the farm.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of daily chore sheets and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and animal husbandry of the farm, including environmental controls and equipment maintenance.
- Implement effective safety practices and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Provide regular production reports and maintain animal welfare programs and documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for 24-hour alarm calls and implement corrective actions to address concerns.
- Develop and implement training programs for employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Administer progressive discipline and corrective action as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- A 24-year degree in an Ag-Related field (preferred) or 3+ years of experience in the Poultry Industry, with 1+ years of experience in a supervisory leadership position (poultry production field preferred).
- Basic Preventative Maintenance experience preferred.
- General understanding of electrical and mechanical devices with good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English required, with Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, train, motivate, and retain a talented workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and measure results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of general industry safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to utilize Windows-based computer programs and systems.
- Ability to interact with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work in a variety of weather conditions.
