We are seeking a skilled Conflict Resolution Specialist to support a distinguished national law firm. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, primarily focusing on the identification and management of conflict of interest scenarios through the utilization of both internal and external databases. The successful candidate will engage in the thorough review, analysis, and resolution of potential conflicts related to lateral attorney candidates and new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive conflict of interest searches and produce detailed reports using various databases.
  • Assist legal professionals in interpreting conflict of interest findings.
  • Maintain and enhance the accuracy of the firm's names database.
  • Provide orientation and training to new hires regarding relevant processes.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with departments such as Conflicts, Finance, IT, and Recruiting.
  • Identify and address conflicts of interest linked to lateral candidate admissions and new business intakes.
  • Analyze and summarize conflict search results to pinpoint actual and potential conflicts.
  • Deliver timely updates to the General Counsel and relevant departments on the status of conflict resolution efforts.
  • Coordinate responses to auditor inquiries and consult with key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Oversee the workflow of audit letters to ensure an efficient and accurate process.
  • Collaborate on special projects within the Office of General Counsel, including engagement letters and compliance research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is required.
  • Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • JDs not seeking to practice law will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in conflict of interest management within a law firm is essential.
  • Familiarity with Intapp Open is advantageous.
  • Understanding of laws and ethical guidelines governing conflicts of interest is necessary.
  • Experience in legal and corporate affiliation research is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines is crucial.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and preparing complex conflict reports is necessary.
  • General knowledge of transactional and litigation matters is beneficial.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion is imperative.
  • Adherence to all firm policies and procedures is expected.
