Position Overview:

Providing continuous protection and cyber defense for ADP's global network of applications and data against cyber threats is crucial for the success of ADP's renowned brand and the ongoing expansion of ADP's market presence.

The Critical Incident Response Center (CIRC) Analysts are tasked with detection and response activities for ADP on a global scale across a wide array of security disciplines, including cyber operations, fraud prevention, physical security, and operational risk management.

Analysts are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary physical and cyber security landscape and will coordinate with various Business and Security Teams, Legal, Privacy, Communications, Public Relations, and Business Units to address any and all internal security incidents that may affect consumers or clients.

Analysts will swiftly gather information to assess alerts, determine their significance, risk, and business impact to implement appropriate containment measures and assist with or recommend remediation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a vital member of the Critical Incident Response Center, the Senior Analyst will scrutinize security alerts from diverse sources, assess their urgency, and promptly execute necessary containment and mitigation actions.
  • Lead intricate investigations in collaboration with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams within large enterprise settings.
  • Take charge of alert investigations, guiding them to resolution, showcasing technical leadership, and mentoring junior analysts.
  • Conduct Event Monitoring and Log Analysis for all Cyber Alerts in a centralized, prioritized system.
  • Enhance and Correlate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) from ongoing investigations to uncover additional potential security incidents.
  • Work alongside multiple GSO teams to support their investigations as needed.
  • Review intelligence from various sources to identify potential attack indicators targeting ADP or activities from threat actors interested in ADP.
  • Perform technical analysis and assessments of security incidents, including malware analysis, packet-level analysis, and system-level forensic analysis.
  • Analyze network events from various device types and vendors across multiple technologies and products.
  • Collect files, artifacts, logs, registry entries, or other host-based evidence.
  • Initiate, support, and lead various investigative incident response tasks throughout different stages of incidents.
  • Document analysis and activities related to alert details, containment actions, remediation steps, and supporting evidence.
  • Facilitate the escalation process and interactions with external teams, prioritizing incidents during critical time frames.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining new processes and documentation, including newly developed correlation rules to enhance analyst capabilities against current threats.
  • Utilize intelligence from various sources and coordinate with internal teams to test new alert detections that support ADP's security policies while improving existing alerts to minimize false positives.
  • Manage multiple alerts and investigations concurrently while engaging in ad-hoc CIRC projects and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in Purple team exercises and post-exercise evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Specialized training in information security is advantageous.
  • Security Certifications are beneficial but not mandatory. Examples include CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GREM.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in similar security roles with relevant analytical experience in a large corporate environment is highly recommended.
  • 6 Years of combined Security Analysis and Incident Response Experience.
  • Networking Skills: Proficient in Windows and *nix environments, with a solid understanding of TCP/IP and network communications. Strong network administration skills and familiarity with packet-level behavior of major TCP/IP application protocols.
  • Incident Handling: Excellent skills in computer security incident management, analysis, and communication. Familiarity with interpreting logs from a wide range of device classes, including networking and host infrastructure devices.
  • Operating Systems: Strong system administration skills with experience across multiple OSs and versions.
  • Security Tools & Technologies: Proficient in various security technologies such as SIEM, DPI, GRC, Antivirus, Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems, Cloud/AWS, EDR, XDR, UBA, Web Proxy/Content Filtering, Active Directory, PKI, Radius, RSA SecurID, MFA.
  • Malware Analysis: Skills in reverse-engineering and executable analysis, with knowledge of operating debuggers and understanding packing and obfuscation techniques.
  • Scripting / Development: Familiarity with SQL for generating nested queries and joins, along with general experience in systems automation using major scripting languages.
