Audubon Engineering Seeks Experienced Laser Scanning Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laser Scanning Professional to join our team in South Houston, TX. As the Lead Laser Scan Technician, you will oversee and conduct laser scanning operations, ensuring accuracy and quality for various projects within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of laser scanning technicians to ensure high-quality results and efficient project execution.
  • Collect and process accurate 3D laser scan data on-site, utilizing industry-leading software and hardware.
  • Coordinate the processing of raw scan data into usable formats, such as point clouds and 3D models, to support project deliverables.
  • Enforce quality control procedures to maintain data accuracy and reliability, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Aid in developing project plans, schedules, and coordinating laser scanning efforts to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective project execution by managing resources, including personnel and equipment.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients as needed.
  • Serve as the project point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure deliverables meet their needs, working closely with end users to optimize their workflow and address technical needs.
  • Stay updated on the latest laser scanning software developments and emerging technologies to provide proactive support and ensure the team's expertise remains current.
  • Integrate new tools and techniques into existing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in laser scanning, surveying, or a related field, with a track record of leading projects and teams.
  • Relevant certifications in laser scanning technology or project management are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of laser scanning technology, software, and data processing techniques.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required, with a valid TWIC card and ability to complete required safety training.
