Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician Laser Specialist to join our team at Amada America, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge laser technology and provide exceptional service to our customers in the Houston, TX territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain laser equipment, including Amada Lasers, Punch Press, and combination machines.
  • Provide operational training, networking, programming, software, and application training to customers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Complete daily status reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in the English language.
  • Manage equipment installation processes, including use of hand tools, climbing, bending, and stooping.
  • Operate, apply, and program laser equipment, and train customers on its use.
  • Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Travel regularly within assigned territories.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree with related work experience.
  • Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
