Job Summary
The Credit Assessment Specialist plays a vital role in evaluating loan applications and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. This position involves collaboration with various branches to facilitate thorough loan assessments and provide guidance on loan policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive loan evaluations across branch locations.
2. Address inquiries related to loan policies and procedures, while interpreting regulatory guidelines.
3. Participate in asset quality initiatives, including due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
4. Be prepared for significant travel, including overnight stays, as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and historical cash flow.
- Familiarity with fundamental loan documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of quickly mastering banking software applications.
- Ability to operate effectively in a confidential environment.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-driven and detail-oriented with robust organizational abilities.
- Proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- A college degree is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Regular use of computer screens.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard and engage in repetitive motions.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 10 pounds as needed.
