The Social Media Lead for Emerging Brands will spearhead our Emerging Brands Social Pod, directing the growth and strategic vision for four pivotal brands: Pop Hive, Concerts, CountryHub, and Hoodlum. Initially overseeing a team of two Social Media Managers, this position presents the opportunity to expand and lead a larger team in the future. Reporting directly to the VP of Content, this role will collaborate closely with the Social Lead for Core Brands.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Development: Lead the strategy formulation, growth initiatives, and innovative approaches across Low Battery's Emerging Social Brands, which include @countryhub, @pophive, @hoodlum, and @concerts, collectively reaching over 5 million cross-platform audiences.
- Team Management: You will have direct oversight of a growing team of social media managers. This role goes beyond project coordination; your output and results will reflect the team's performance. You will coach, develop, and mentor your team while conducting performance evaluations.
- 24/7 Social Engagement: Social media operates around the clock. Be prepared to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support your team.
- Collaboration with Sales: Partner closely with the Sales team to execute RFPs. Provide social media insights during proposal development, oversee campaign implementation, and supply performance data to guide future proposals.
- Social Media Expertise: Stay informed about social media trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices. Introduce innovative ideas and strategies to maintain a fresh and competitive social media presence.
- Team Support: When needed, assist with emerging social pages, especially during breaking news, large campaigns, or team member absences, ensuring consistent and high-quality output across all accounts.
- Content Planning: Oversee the development of a quarterly content calendar and release strategy.
- Contribute to Team Direction: Collaborate with the Social Lead (Core) to facilitate bi-weekly social team meetings.
- Results-Oriented: Focus on monthly follower growth, engagement rate improvement, and impression increases for emerging brands.
- Activity Metrics: Ensure the emerging brands produce over 2,500 posts per quarter.
- 5+ years of relevant social media experience.
- Experience managing highly visible brand channels in a live environment.
- Proven track record in leading a team of social media managers.
- A deep passion for social media and internet culture.
- Exceptional news judgment and strong verbal/written communication skills.
