Our National Conversation (ONC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Media Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the ONC Social Media Team and contributing to our mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and target audience.
  • Delegate tasks to interns and volunteers based on their strengths and expertise.
  • Provide guidance and support to interns and volunteers to ensure their success in their roles.
  • Oversee the creation and curation of engaging and relevant content for social media platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and visual aesthetics across all channels.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for social media posts, including scheduling and publishing content in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on trending topics across all social platforms and effectively communicate with other ONC team members.
Qualifications:
  • Working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, and/or related fields.
  • Experience with common social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) required.
  • Understanding of influencers, marketing, branding, and content creation is crucial.
  • Google Workspace experience preferred.
  • Canva experience preferred.
  • Adobe Suite experience a plus.
  • Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict.
  • A self-starter who is willing to take initiative and complete tasks.
  • Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to attend Organization-Wide meetings every other week.
  • Ability to lead weekly Social Media Team meetings.
  • Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
