About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Data Center Procurement Governance team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our core systems and tools infrastructure to support Data Center Procurement customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability.
  • System Administration: Manage user access, access permissions, and authentications to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automated scripts and workflows to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Vendor Management and Procurement: Liaise with IT service providers to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business requirements, manage contracts, SLAs, and procurement processes.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures, share knowledge and best practices.
  • Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure efficient and high user adoption of IT systems.
About the Team

The Data Center Procurement Governance team is a global function that comprises 5 main global programs. This role sits in the Procurement Systems, Tools & Data Solutions team, responsible for defining and driving procurement's IT infrastructure and roadmap.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Proficient troubleshooting and anticipating problems that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of software systems
  • Proficient executing standard operating procedures and following operational best practices
  • Experience working cross-organizationally and leading strategic team efforts requiring work from multiple team members
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, and SalesForce
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
