About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our AWS Trust and Safety team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions to support our investigative and abuse response processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation tools to assist in the investigation and response to abuse of AWS services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to support our investigative processes
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for our services
  • Contribute to the design and development of new automation solutions to support our business needs

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience building services using AWS products
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
