Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist

Asian American Health Coalition is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Specialist will provide episodic behavioral health and clinical services to individuals and families, including foster children, their biological families, foster families, and adoptive families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial diagnostic assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including age-appropriate clinical interventions and measurable goals.
  • Provide support and crisis management services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential treatment records.
  • Collaborate with primary care staff and other behavioral health clinicians to provide comprehensive care.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy.
Requirements:
  • Licensed LMFT, LPC, LCSW, Psy.D., or Ph.D.
  • Current license to practice in Texas.
  • Bilingual (Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, and/or Spanish with English) is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in a behavioral science or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children, families, and individuals with behavioral health issues.
  • Experience with foster and/or adoptive children and families, as well as knowledge of the DFPS system.
