Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient observation through rounding, under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Gather data relevant to the patient's individual, age-specific needs and disease, and process and relay information to licensed nursing staff.
  • Document accurate data in the medical record.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients.
  • Participate in teaching patients and families under the direction and supervision of licensed staff.
  • Answer the telephone and nurse call system, take messages, and direct calls as needed.
Requirements
  • Fulfill the HCA Healthcare culture by providing the highest quality care to our patients.
  • Previous behavioral health experience is preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
