About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Specialist VI to join our team in Houston. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced counseling and psychological services to Service Members of the Texas Military Department (TMD) with mental health or other emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, counsel, and report on mental health needs of TMD Service Members
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address mental health concerns
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to Service Members
  • Collaborate with TMD unit leadership to support mental health awareness and wellness promotion plans
  • Conduct intake, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, safety plan, behavioral health screening, and referral services for TMD Service Members
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Four years of experience providing clinical treatment as an independently licensed provider
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
  • Licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a field of psychology or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D)
