Job Title: Operations Manager

Michaels Stores is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our store team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and executing store workload, including scheduling and inventory management.
  • Lead and manage adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Support and participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and replenishment.
  • Lead and manage a team of well-trained team members to deliver a customer-centric shopping experience.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising standards and execute feature space and seasonal layouts.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Train, observe, and coach team members to achieve results and participate in the performance management process.
  • Interact with customers in a positive and respectful manner, providing solutions and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy boxes and access high shelves.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and early mornings.
