Join Benchmark Human Services as a Rehabilitation Specialist. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive care for young children, focusing on their developmental needs through various programs. We are seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in providing services to clients in Waterbury and its neighboring areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Federal and State regulations, including those specified in the Connecticut Birth to Three Program Regulations.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with families to create joint plans and recommend strategies based on evidence-based practices.
  • Implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) for enrolled families, adjusting service frequency according to developmental progress and family priorities.
  • Provide families with resources, skills, and support to enhance their child's development.
  • Utilize coaching models and natural environment teaching methods.
  • Engage in training and professional development opportunities related to the Birth to Three program.
  • Complete necessary training modules and serve as a Service Coordinator when required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapy or Assistant License in the state of CT.
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license.
  • Experience working with children in early intervention settings is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
