Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Harbor Care Health and Wellness Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patient appointments, schedules, and information with accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Collect and verify patient information, including demographic data and insurance details.
- Assist with scheduling, canceling, or rescheduling appointments as needed.
- Communicate with patients via phone, email, patient portal, or web-based chat platforms.
- Coordinate and verify patient information collection related to Sliding Fee Discount Program.
- Collect patient payments and consolidate all payments collected at the end of each day.
- Ensure accurate and timely information exchange with clinical departments.
- Facilitate patient communication and correspondence.
- Collect data for routine reporting.
- Travel as required to attend meetings and seminars.
- High school diploma or global equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft software applications.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese desired but not required.
- Understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR rules and regulations.
- Strong oral, written, and reading communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and integrity.
- Respectful of people and their cultural, religious, and ethnic differences.
