Cultural Heritage Informatics at the University of Texas at Austin

We are seeking a talented and innovative scholar to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cultural Heritage Informatics. The successful candidate will contribute to our interdisciplinary research and teaching programs, focusing on the intersection of cultural heritage, information, and technology.

About the Position

This is a tenure-track position that will start in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct innovative and impactful research, teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and contribute to the development of our programs in Cultural Heritage Informatics.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative and impactful research in the field of Cultural Heritage Informatics
  • Teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including courses in Cultural Heritage Informatics and related areas
  • Contribute to the development of our programs in Cultural Heritage Informatics, including curriculum design and implementation
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach activities
Qualifications

We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in a field relevant to their area of research and teaching, or who convincingly demonstrate they will complete the degree before starting. In general, we seek candidates with outstanding records of research, teaching, service, and leadership abilities, with a commitment to shaping the future of our iSchool and conducting innovative research in their respective research field(s).
