About the Position

We are looking for individuals who can teach a range of courses in our undergraduate and graduate programs, including the B.S.I. and B.A. in Informatics, the Master of Science in Information Studies (MSIS), and the Master of Science in Information Security and Privacy. Ideal candidates will have broad professional experience in one or more core areas of information studies and informatics.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in areas such as libraries and librarianship, cultural heritage informatics, social justice informatics, human-centered data science, user-experience design, health informatics, and social informatics.
  • Develop and teach new courses that align with the school's research and teaching priorities.
  • Mentor students in research projects and provide guidance on academic and professional development.
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide service activities, such as curriculum development and program assessment.
Qualifications

Candidates should hold a graduate degree and have at least two years of professional experience in a field relevant to the subject(s) in which they teach. A strong teaching philosophy and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential.
